In order to see the My Chances ranges and student's scores, you must enter the subscores of Reading, Math and Writing Language in the student's test results. These scores are in the 10-40 ranges.
Colleges have reported their SAT scores this year in the pre-2016 score format, including their Freshman class test score ranges. These ranges were NOT provided in the new SAT format.
The ranges on the My Chances graph are as follows:
- bottom 25%
- mid 50%
- top 25%
In order to provide a My Chances graph for the SAT, the ranges that appear on the graph are "concorded" - or converted - from the old SAT ranges. The new SAT and the pre-SAT scores do not map directly - a concordance table provided by CollegeBoard must be used.
We are hopeful that the score mid-ranges will be reported in the new SAT format starting in 2018, and we will then return to a My Chances graph in the 800 range.
