You can create an appointment or assignment for any combination of students in your account that you need to. Save time and maximize your counseling options by using group assignments or appointments.
Scheduling a Group Appointment or Assignment from the Advisor Dashboard
Select the students you want to schedule an appointment or assignment from the advisor dashboard. You can use student quick select, student categories, or a combination of both. Once you have the group of students selected, click on the calendar in the left, navigational bar.
Creating Assignment or Appointment
Select a date you want to have the group appointment or assignment. A popup window will ask if you want to create an appointment or an assignment. Click on your choice of options. A second popup window will open, for assignment or appointment (whichever you selected). Select the option to Create A New [xxxx] (assignment or appointment). Fill in the details for the group assignment or appointment. Click Notify when ready.

Composing Assignments or Appointments
Use the formatting tools as you create your message. If you copy and paste from a document, you may need to use the "eraser" icon to clean up the extra formatting before sending:
Adding Attachments Using DropBox
Attachments can be added using the Dropbox icon. Note that new files can be added to Dropbox and attached to the appointment or assignment at the same time using the button. To do this, select the Dropbox icon.
Finalize Appointment or Assignment with NOTIFY Button
Once the "Notify" button for Appointments (or the "Assign" button for Assignments) is selected, notification options will be displayed in a pop-up window, allowing selection of students, parents, connections and advisors.
Moving or Updating Assignments or Appointments
Once a Group Calendar event is created, the event can be moved to a different date or the title and description can be modified. The students included on the event and the attachments cannot be modified.
To keep track of who received a Group event, the Notified Users area shows whether students, connections and advisors received the event information. Clicking on the Details button will display a list of the Students included in the Group event.
The event can be deleted and a new event created to make updates to the attachments or selected students. The appointment or assignment can be deleted on each student’s individual calendar.
Notifications to the students and connections will be sent based on each users notification preferences. Appointment notifications will include a calendar file to all adding the event to a calendar outside of GuidedPath such as a Google or Outlook calendar. Reminders for assignments and appointments will also be sent based on each users notification preferences.

The events that are seen on the calendar include any event that is on at least one of the selected student’s individual calendar. Student names are included in the event. This helps you differentiate between different student events.
