The group reporting is accessed each time you select more than one student from the My Students selection screen. To access group reports quickly use the Advisor Homepage Quick Select section.
This will allow you to quickly run information for your active students.
If you'd like to pull reports for multiple advisors in the system or previous students you will need to customize your reports. To do this, you will click on the My Students icon on the upper right of the Advisor Homepage (or any other top menu) to get to the my students screen. Use any criteria from the top search section to find groups of students. You can then select them as a group, by selecting the "All" button in the header of the lower part of the screen, or hand selecting any number of students by checking the box next to their name. The "None" button in the header clears all the checkmarks and allows you to create a new selection. Note that you can sort by any column by clicking on the column header to help find and group students.
After clicking on select group, you will be taken to the group dashboard. The dashboard provides an overview of the selected student group. The total number of students that are included in the reports is the first large number in the Students box. To help summarize this list of students, any search criteria that was specified on the My Students screen is also shown in this box. To review the names of the students included in these reports, click on My Students to return to the student selection screen or by clicking anywhere in this box. Students selected for the group mode will have the small GuidedPath logo and will be sorted to the top of the list. From here, you can always click a menu item at the top of the screen to continue to work with the same group of students, or you can select a new group of students to work with.
The menu items correspond to the GuidedPath steps. For Surveys, Tests, Colleges, Applications and Decisions there is an overview of progress for the group of students. To see the detailed analysis either click on the appropriate box on the dashboard or use the menu items. For example, to see how the students are progressing on the surveys, select that box to see the details for each student in the group. You can group the analysis by any column. For example, to see the details for the Find My Spark survey, drag the FMS Status column name to the line above the header names. This will provide a list of all students that have complete the survey, then all students that are in progress of working on the survey and then the list of students that have not started the survey.
Key features of these reports:
- Group the data by any column by dragging the column name to the line above. Layered grouping is also possible by adding more than one header
- Sort the data by clicking on any column and reverse the sort by clicking again
- Reorder the columns by dragging a column to the desired location
- College, Applications and Decisions have additional student details that can be see by clicking on the arrow at the start of a row by the college name. The imbedded details can also be sorted and reordered
This analysis can be exported into a spreadsheet tool to be manipulated further or to printed.
