You will want to take some time to attend trainings, watch videos, and get yourself comfortable with the tools in GuidedPath. You may even want to work with one student in the system before you transition to make sure you have a handle on the new tool.
Make sure your MyCCA data is ready
You will want to make sure your data is in tip-top condition before you migrate. Here's a checklist of things you should look at:
- All students and prospects MUST have an e-mail address. If you don't know the e-mail address of the prospect, we suggest adding your own e-mail address as a placeholder.
- Make sure that students you are currently working with are Active status and that previous students or historical students have been set to a status of Inactive. This can be adjusted on the student profile in MyCCA
- Make sure your prospects have been entered as prospects
- If you have been using any field in a way other than it's intended purpose, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure it will be ok for migration. This includes numeric fields such as application year.
