Test Overview
The Tests feature is designed to create a testing schedule, track registration dates, record scores and compare score results.
Tests contains the following submenus:
- Test Dashboard (view this link for Test Dashboard details)
- My Tests
- My Scores
- Schedule Test by Date
- Schedule Test by Type
- My Score Comparison (coming soon!)
My Tests
Access My Tests from the Test main menu
The "My Tests" section identifies what tests have been scheduled.
The date, type of test, subjects (if applicable), and registration status are displayed.
Click on the name of any test to bring up a "test details" pop-up where you can enter a location or note about each test or mark a test as registered. Where appropriate, it also allows you to select subjects. A test can also be removed from the schedule by using the button at the bottom of the pop-up.
Past Tests
The "Past Tests" section identifies what tests have dates in the past. The test date, type of test, subjects (if applicable) and a link to either View or Score the tests are displayed. A "view" link indicates the test has already been scored.
Click on the name of any test to bring up a "test details" pop-up where you can enter a location or note about each test or mark a test as registered. Where appropriate, it also allows you to select subjects. A test can also be removed from the schedule by using the button at the bottom of the pop-up.
My Scores
Access My Scores from the Test main menu
The My Scores submenu captures the results of each test that has been scheduled. Before the results can be input, the test must be added to the student’s schedule. Select the row for the test date to be updated and then click the green button to update the scores.
Once the section results are added and saved, GuidedPath will calculate the overall scores, where applicable, and superscores for the ACT and SAT. For tests with specific subjects, GuidedPath will show the three subjects that have the highest scores across all test dates.
ADD Test Scores for a Test that is already taken
To add test scores for a test that is already taken, but not on the student's schedule follow these instructions.
Schedule Test by Date & Schedule Test by Type
Access the schedule pages from the Test main menu
A master test schedule is displayed on this screen. This grid is either pre-sorted by Test Date or Test Type (depending on the page you choose), but can be sorted in various ways.
To group the schedule, you can drag a column name to the top row. You can also filter the schedule by selecting the orange filter icon (which looks like a funnel) on the right side of the column name. Each column can also be sorted by clicking on the column once or twice. Columns can be drag and dropped to rearrange the order.
Show dates that have passed
To show tests that have already passed, click on the orange filter icon next to "Test Date" and click on the "clear" button:
To add a test to the student's test schedule, select the row of the test to add (a selected test will be highlighted in blue) then click on the green "add selected tests to your schedule" button.
Ctrl-Click or Shift-Click will allow you to select multiple tests at once!
Scheduled Tests will have a checkmark in the "registered" column. Click on the "registered" column header to sort by scheduled tests.
Select one or more tests and select the "remove selected tests" to to remove them from the schedule.
The green button at the top of the grid can be used to add additional tests that are not in the master schedule. Click on the green "Add a New Test" button and select the appropriate test type, enter a test date, optional registration date, subjects if appropriate and then click on OK. The test will then become part of the master list and can be removed by selecting it and then clicking on the "remove selected tests" button or by clicking on the test name from the Test Dashboard or My Tests pages. Add Tests allows the addition of a variety of tests including IB, EXPLORE, PSAT, MELAB, plus dates for tests already on the master test schedule.
For international students, a link will be provided to find TOEFL, MeLAB and IELTS test dates once that test type is selected. These tests can be added once the test dates are determined.
My Score Comparison
My Score Comparison is accessed from a submenu off of the Tests section. This is a comparison report to show the student which test (ACT or SAT) they have performed better on.

I noticed that the tests reflect the dates for the 2013-2014 testing cycle. When will this show testing dates in the fall? If I'm planning testing dates with clients and some of their tests leak into the fall of the following test cycle, what should I do?
We are waiting until the test dates are finalized before we load them into GuidedPath. If you want to use these dates in the interim, you can add custom test dates at the bottom of the Tests Schedule page. This will get them on the student's schedule as a place holder.
Has the comparison of ACT and SAT scores been removed from guided path? I can't find it.
This comparison report is not yet available in GuidedPath, but it will be added!
Is there a glitch in the AP score section of guided path? My student took one test on each date in May 2014 and I recorded the scores and test title. It still shows missing scores although the scores I entered are there. Isabella Tilmont is the student.
Charlotte - The AP scores look like they are all recorded correctly. Perhaps you just needed a screen refresh. Please recheck them and let us know if you see any concerns. Looks good on this end.
How can I pull test dates up to see all students who have signed up to take a test on a specific date?
Kathy - You can go into Group Mode and see all the next test that each student has signed up for. Remember that you can group and sort the Group Mode grids, so that you can see the next tests for all your students that are in the "group". Use the My Students page to define your group of students, then select the Group Mode button and then the Tests on the top menu.
